Libraries Gear Up for the End of the Semester

Library patrons are now offered additional services to help them during this demanding final phase of the semester.
1.      Case Library @ James C. Colgate opened on a 24:7 basis beginning Sunday, November 27, and running through 5:00 pm Friday, December 16.  Cooley is open with extended hours during this period, until 2:00 am, Sunday through Thursday and midnight, Friday and Saturday.
2.      Alternative study spaces have been expanded and enhanced.  Check out the list on the Library's web site at /services/Studyspaces/ for other spaces and their availability, including whether there is wireless access to the network.  Note that Library Reference Desk staff will monitor spaces in JCC, Cooley, O'Connor, Cutten, Lawrence and the Commons via webcams recently installed by ITS and update this page with information on seating availability every 30 minutes each night.
3.      Free nightly beverages and cookies will be available in JCC, Frank, and the Edge starting Sunday, December 4 through Thursday, December 15.  Goodies will be available around 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Frank and the Edge along with 1:00 am to 2:00 am in the Pub area of JCC.
4.      Wireless access has been restored to the HOP and the Clark Room.   Also, some additional lighting will be added this week to the Clark Room.
5.      Read the Library's fall newsletter that directly responds to queries made by students regarding how to virtually browse MONDO, whether it is possible to renew ConnectNY and Interlibrary Loan materials (frequently, it is) and how to do so, and where to find the list of new digital materials acquired by the Library.  This should be placed in all campus mailboxes today or tomorrow.
